Abstract
The phases of the damage caused by the termite Microtermes tragardhi (Sjost.) to sugarcane in the Guneid area of the Central Sudan were described, and the percentage of damage recorded. The susceptibility of the plant to termite attack proved to be related to the length of the seed‐pieces planted.
